Senior Service Engineer

As a Service Engineer you are responsible for the service, installation, commissioning and maintenance of navigation, communication and connectivity equipment on board of vessels. Your task is to make sure that any technical problem is analyzed for fault, a solution is provided and when necessary, equipment is repaired in a timely manner. To assist you in achieving this task, Pro Nautas provides extensive training either directly or through its OEM partners. You are required to participate in these training courses.

The tasks are challenging and yet very rewarding as your success translates in a high customer satisfaction. Ships operate worldwide round the clock and are in and out of ports relatively quickly and hence you will have to work to resolve the technical issues and fixing the equipment in the due time slots. The job requires travel and good communication skills.

Your tasks:

  • Service, installation and repair of navigation, communication and connectivity systems on vessels
  • Training and instructions to crew members
  • Technical support to colleagues
  • Radio Surveys and APTs (Annual Performance Tests)
  • Expand your knowledge through regular training

Your profile:

  • Education and experience in Marine Electronics and/or Electronic Engineering
  • Knowledge of the ship’s navigation, communication, and IT equipment
  • Flexible and able to work under time constraints
  • Willing to travel for both short and occasionally extended periods of time
  • Fluent in English (Dutch and German is an advantage)
  • Computer Literacy
